About

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I live and practice and pay my respect to Elders - past, present and emerging - and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within my community.

Yin Lu is a visual artist, art & craft teacher and mural artist based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Her Chinese heritage significantly inspires her artistic practice, which uses a bold and contrasting style to express and amplify her cultural identity. She synthesizes diverse influences from Western art and Eastern aesthetics, gaining new insights with respect to both natural and historical perspectives.

卢茵作品阐释：

卢茵的的绘画创作深受其中国血脉与文化背景的影响。从丙烯画、墙绘到综合材料，她用大胆而对比鲜明的艺术风格来彰显她的文化归属。她的艺术作品深受东西方艺术美学的共同启发，诠释出其独特的多元文化观。

Yin Lu's lightboxes were on display at Fish Lane, and her artworks were also displayed at Fish Lane - Town Square Vitrines and Edmonstone Street (Billykart), Botanica Residences, South Brisbane, as part of an exhibition with Brisbane City Council.

This Outdoor Gallery exhibition ran from Friday 9 September 2022 - Sunday 16 April 2023.

布里斯班市议会积极打造的长达7个月展示时间的由灯箱、横幅、橱窗、夜间投影组成的 “PLAY/GROUND OUTDOOR GALLERY户外画廊”项目展示时间段: 2022年9月9日～2023年4月16日。

Recent Works 近期作品

"Human life can be likened to a game of chance, where each individual is dealt a set of cards that they must use to the best of their abilities. For me, the process of creating art is akin to opening a new chapter in a book or receiving a fresh deck of cards. The outcome is less important to me than the creative process itself. When presented with a blank canvas, the possibilities are endless. I aim to utilise vivid colours and boundless imagination to express my passion for art and bring to life a unique deck of playing cards, rendered in my own style."
